German School Violin Bow, c.1910
A super bow modeled on the Voirin School having a beautifully slim, perfectly tapered round stick with the main camber forward, towards the head, producing a lively, responsive stick.
Saxony is the home of many of the most famous names in German bow making. These famous workshops supplied bows to violin makers and violin shops around the world. Many bows, like this fine Pernambuco stick, were left unstamped so that the receiving shop could apply their own brand, not all shops an appropriate brand and so large numbers of these bows remained unstamped.
